  • Families Flock to XFINITY Arena for Free Touch A Truck Event

The Everett Public Facilities District and Spectra by Comcast Spectacor welcomed more than 1,000 guests to XFINITY Arena on August 5 for the Touch A Truck community event, presented by Dwayne Lane's Ram Truck Center.

“It was incredible hearing all the positive feedback and seeing so many smiling faces,” said Rick Comeau, XFINITY Arena General Manager. “To welcome 1,076 people to the building for Touch A Truck, while partnering with a great cause like the YWCA, was exactly what we were hoping for when planning the event.”

Families who lined up outside the XFINITY Arena gated parking lot in advance of the 10 AM start were welcomed to a fun, hands-on, educational event. Vehicles of all shapes and sizes, from an Everett Fire Department fire truck to the arena Zamboni, and everything in between, were on display for children to explore and hop into the driver’s seat. There were even special appearances by Batman and Odin, Thor’s father, courtesy of local non-profit Costumed Characters for Causes, as well as the Everett Aquasox mascot Webbly.
